Job Description

Purpose/Objective


    Lead - Maintenance ensures optimal vessel performance and revenue generation through efficient maintenance management, adherence to schedules, and strategic planning. They foster internal expertise, manage costs, and ensure seamless operations, while maintaining compliance and promoting safety within the branch.

Key Responsibilities of Role


    Resource Management: - Optimize manpower and vessel use to boost branch revenue, scheduling resources for better performance and income. Equipment Maintenance: - Ensure critical instruments are calibrated per OEM recommendations, conduct regular inspections, implement preventive maintenance, and support RCA and CAPA procedures. Inventory Management: - Strategize spare parts procurement and maintain inventory levels to minimize downtime and ensure component availability. Budget Control: - Contribute to budget planning, monitor expenses, and seek ways to reduce costs while maintaining safety and service quality. Documentation & Reporting: - Prepare precise, timely branch reports on HSE, PMS, inventory, etc., and share data proactively with headquarters, adhering to deadlines and protocols. Collaboration & Communication: - Engage with initiatives from higher offices and communicate regularly about daily operations and maintenance needs. Knowledge Transfer: - Train staff during drydocking and lead overhauls independently, enhancing in-house skills and saving costs. Digital Mindset: - Keep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business and maintain competitiveness. Team Development: - Promote a respectful and safe workplace, lead collaborative and productive teams, and mentor for growth and success. Qualifications and Experience


    Education Qualification: (a) Possess a MEO first class certificate as an engineer on board the vessels issued by the Ministry of Transport, Government of India. (b) Shall have completed successfully the fire fighting training. (C) Shall have completed successfully the basic tanker safety course and the pollution fighting training. (d) Shall have successfully undertaken training in advance first-aid course. Work Experience (Range of years): (a) Possessing at least four (4) years of sailing experience as chief or second engineer on board a foreign going ship/vessel. (b) Possessing at least two (2) years of experience as a superintendent engineer in a leading shipping company, or two (2) years of experience in a port management company.
