About The Job About Pocket FM : It is an amazing time to join Pocket FM as we continue shaping the future of audio entertainment both in India and beyond. We are front-ending the category creation for the audio OTT landscape and building the largest repository of audio streaming content across formats like audio series, audiobooks and podcasts, through our unique storytelling approach. We are reimagining the traditional audio pattern to build an internet- scale platform and bring together communities to share stories and spread knowledge. Our mission is to give voice to stories and wisdom. Pocket FM has grown to 80 million MAL (monthly active listeners), spending an average of over 110 minutes every day, while the total monthly audio streaming on the app counts to over 4 billion minutes. We are a Series C funded start-up backed by some of the marquee investors like Naver, Goodwater Capital, Lightspeed, Tanglin Venture Partners and others. Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Analytics to lead our data analytics function. In this role, you will drive data strategy, oversee the design and implementation of analytical models, and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. Youll lead a high-performing team, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and influence business outcomes through actionable insights. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of the companys analytics strategy aligned with business goals. Partner with senior leadership to identify key performance metrics, business drivers, and opportunities for growth and optimization. Design and implement scalable dashboards, reporting systems, and predictive models. Guide a team of analysts, to deliver high-impact analytics projects. Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all analytics deliverables. Translate complex analytical findings into compelling narratives for non-technical audiences. Promote a data-driven culture across the organization through education, advocacy, and leadership. Oversee vendor relationships and analytics platforms/tools as needed. Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in analytics and data science. Qualifications 9+ years of experience in analytics, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role. Proficiency in SQL, Python or R, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker). Experience with A/B testing, experimentation frameworks, or customer analytics. Strong business acumen and the ability to link analytics to strategic decision-making. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills. Proven track record of building and mentoring high-performing analytics teams. Preferred Experience of working B2C companies; Knowledge of machine learning or advanced statistical modeling techniques (ref:hirist.tech) Show more Show less
