We are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer – Automation with a strong background in mechanical assembly, testing, validation, and machine prove-outs . This is a shop-floor and on-site execution role that involves bringing automation machines and equipment to life from mechanical components. Key Responsibilities: Perform mechanical assembly of automation equipment, special purpose machines (SPMs), and fixtures. Interpret mechanical drawings, BOMs, and exploded views for accurate assembly. Execute alignment, fitment, and mechanical integration of subassemblies and moving parts. Conduct machine-level trials , simulate real-world working conditions, and identify issues. Carry out functional testing and validation of assembled machines. Lead or assist in machine prove-out and final commissioning at client sites. Collaborate with the design and electrical teams during troubleshooting and fine-tuning. Ensure machines meet performance, safety, and reliability criteria before handover. Required Skills & Qualifications: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 1–2 years of experience in mechanical assembly and machine testing in an industrial or automation setting. Good understanding of mechanical parts, fits & tolerances, bearings, guides, pneumatics, etc. Ability to read and interpret 2D/3D drawings and assembly documentation. Skilled in using basic tools and mechanical instruments (dial gauges, torque wrenches, etc.). Willingness to work in shop-floor and customer locations during machine commissioning. Experience in export customer handling is added advantage. Calculate and define the electrical specifications for transformers (e.g. voltage distribution, forces, temperature rise and noise level) Create and publish upon approval technical reports and papers on specific technical topics internally and externally. Consulting with sales, mechanical design department, manufacturing and test bay on all electrical matters. Prepare Technical Specifications for ordering of components like Tap changer, Bushings & various online accessories. This role also requires estimating quantities for tenders / offers & have technical discussions with customers to create solutions for the customer. Prepare drawings and calculations for customer submission, in the event of order. Collaborate with European factories for further product enhancements. Effectively communicate among cross functional teams. Requirement for this role: Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering 4-10 years working experience as a design engineer in the field of Power Transformer. Person should be familiar with 2D CAD (AUTOCAD) software. Familiar with the national & international standards (IS2026 and IEC 60076) Knowledge of calculations pertaining to designing of power transformer. Experience in 2D or 3D Electro-magnetic simulation and analysis is an added advantage. Thorough knowledge of materials to define and to prepare specification of major items. Knowledge of selecting of accessories in power transformers. Key Skills Excellent written and verbal communication in English is necessary.
