Maintenance

As a member of the Charter Manufacturing team, you will be responsible for the mechanical and electrical repair of equipment and cranes, performing preventative maintenance, and responding to breakdowns. Your role will also involve welding and fabrication work as necessary. In this position, you will need to have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, along with basic mechanical and maintenance aptitude. The ability to use basic math skills, read and follow operating instructions, and communicate effectively both in writing and verbally is essential. You should also be able to work well with other employees and demonstrate problem-solving skills. Preferred qualifications for this role include basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, power transmission, machine installation, welding, and pipefitting. It is desirable to have at least five years of mechanical and electrical repair experience, as well as safety awareness training. Your major accountabilities will include the repair of bailing, shearing, and crane equipment during breakdowns, welding and fabrication work as required, completing preventative maintenance tasks, and addressing general repair needs.
