Job Description

The PLC Engineer/Programmer will be responsible for designing, programming, testing, and maintaining PLC-based automation systems used in industrial processes and machinery. This role ensures optimal equipment performance, minimizes downtime, and supports continuous improvement initiatives across production lines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. PLC Programming & Development

Design and develop PLC logic and HMI (Human Machine Interface) screens for automated machines and systems.
Program, test, and debug PLCs from brands such as Mitsubishi, or Delta.
Modify existing PLC programs to improve performance or integrate new equipment.

2. Installation & Commissioning

Assist in the installation, wiring, and commissioning of automation systems.
Ensure smooth startup and integration of PLC-controlled systems with other plant equipment.
Conduct FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test).

3. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Diagnose and resolve automation system issues, minimizing machine downtime.
Maintain backups of PLC programs and documentation.
Support maintenance teams with electrical and control-related breakdowns.

4. Process Improvement

Analyze existing automation processes and recommend cost-effective upgrades.
Work with production and quality teams to optimize efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
Implement sensors, SCADA systems, and IoT-based monitoring for better control.

5. Documentation & Compliance

Prepare technical documentation: wiring diagrams, I/O lists, user manuals, and test reports.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company protocols.
Maintain version control of all automation-related software and configurations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics Engineering.
Experience: 2–5 years (for mid-level) in PLC programming or industrial automation.
Technical Skills:
PLCs: Siemens / Allen-Bradley / Mitsubishi / Delta / Omron
HMIs and SCADA systems
Knowledge of VFDs, servo drives, sensors, and industrial communication protocols
Basic understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and machine safety circuits.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, teamwork, problem-solving, and documentation ability.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
