Key Responsibilities: · Monitor WOC link performance and network health using NOC tools and dashboards. · Respond to and resolve WOC link degradation, failures, and service interruptions. · Perform first-line diagnostics and escalate issues to appropriate engineering teams when required. · Conduct routine maintenance, firmware upgrades, and configuration changes on FSOC terminals. · Maintain up-to-date knowledge of WOC hardware, alignment techniques, and atmospheric effect mitigation. · Track trouble tickets, incident reports, and resolution steps using ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira). · Collaborate with field engineers to guide physical troubleshooting and alignment of WOC units. · Analyze link budget, signal quality, and throughput data for performance optimization. · Provide detailed shift handovers and maintain accurate documentation of all operational procedures. Participate in a rotating shift schedule (24x7 support model including nights, weekends, and holidays). Required Qualifications: · Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. · 2+ years experience in a NOC or telecommunications operations role. · Understanding of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching). · Familiarity with optical communication systems, preferably WOC or laser communications. · Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, Grafana). · Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. · Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
