Job Description


Key Responsibilities:

1. Human Resources Management

  • Lead all HR activities at the plant level including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, and training & development.
  • Implement and monitor HR policies and procedures aligned with corporate guidelines.
  • Drive employee engagement, retention strategies, and culture-building initiatives.
  • Handle disciplinary actions and grievance redressal in line with company policy and labor law.

2. Industrial Relations (IR)

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with union representatives and workers.
  • Handle union negotiations, long-term settlements (LTS), and collective bargaining processes.
  • Ensure legal compliance with all labor-related laws (Factories Act, ID Act, Trade Union Act, etc.).
  • Proactively manage labor unrest, strikes, or disputes with tact and strategy.
  • Maintain harmonious industrial relations and ensure timely resolution of IR issues.

3. Compliance and Statutory Management

  • Ensure adherence to labor laws and statutory regulations (PF, ESI, Gratuity, etc.).
  • Coordinate with legal counsel for labor court proceedings, audits, and inspections.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and reports for audits and internal reviews.

4. Workforce Planning and Development

  • Partner with department heads for manpower planning and optimization.
  • Drive skill development programs and succession planning for shop floor employees.
  • Manage contract labor through vendor coordination and compliance oversight.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelors/Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. MBA/PGDM in HR preferred.
  • 8–15 years of HR experience in a manufacturing plant, with at least 5 years in an IR-focused role.
  • Deep knowledge of Indian labor laws, factory regulations, and unionized environments.
  • Proven experience in handling union negotiations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
