This role is ideal for a mature HR professional with strong IR capabilities, hands-on plant experience, and the ability to build a safe, compliant, and high-engagement work environment.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Employee Engagement

  • Implement HR policies, manage attendance, payroll inputs, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Lead employee engagement programs—communication forums, safety events, welfare activities.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding and induction for all new hires.

Industrial Relations & Contract Labour

  • Maintain positive relations with unions and support wage/long-term settlements.
  • Handle grievances, disciplinary actions, and enforce Standing Orders.
  • Oversee contract labour compliance, vendor coordination, and statutory audits.
  • Liaise with labour authorities and government bodies for compliance.

Statutory Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure 100% compliance with labour laws—Factories Act, CLRA, PF, ESI, Bonus, Gratuity, etc.
  • Maintain statutory records, audits, and timely submission of statutory returns.
  • Ensure workplace safety, health standards, and hygiene across the plant.

Performance, Talent & Capability Development

  • Drive PMS implementation and ensure timely evaluations.
  • Support skills development, training programs, and capability building.
  • Manage manpower planning and coordinate recruitment with internal teams.

HR Systems, Admin & Cost Optimization

  • Strengthen HRMS, MIS reporting, and documentation practices.
  • Lead cost-efficiency initiatives in HR, training, and admin functions.
  • Supervise HR, Safety, Security, Medical, and Admin teams to ensure smooth operations.

Leadership & Culture Building

  • Mentor and develop the HR/IR team at the plant.
  • Build a culture of transparency, discipline, and employee well-being.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • MBA / PGDM in HR or equivalent
  • 8+ years of HR/IR experience in manufacturing plants

  • Minimum

    3 years in a plant-level HR leadership role

  • Strong background in labour laws, IR, and union handling
  • Preferably from

    Glass / Plastics / Packaging / Heavy Manufacturing industries

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
