A Plant Head in the beverage industry is responsible for the overall management and operation of a manufacturing plant, ensuring smooth production, quality, compliance, and cost-effectiveness. They lead a team, oversee maintenance, and manage budgets to achieve production targets and maintain industry best practices. Key Responsibilities: Production & Operations Management: Planning, directing, and coordinating production operations to achieve set targets, optimizing manufacturing processes for efficiency and quality, and implementing best practices to reduce waste and enhance productivity. Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards (FSSAI, HACCP, ISO, GMP, etc.), overseeing product quality, implementing corrective actions, and working with the Quality Assurance team. Cost & Resource Management: Controlling operational costs, optimizing resource utilization, planning and managing budgets, and ensuring cost-effectiveness. Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring adherence to workplace safety protocols and industry regulations, conducting safety audits and training for plant personnel, and maintaining accurate records and documentation. Team Leadership & Development: Leading, mentoring, and developing the plant team to achieve operational excellence, fostering a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and accountability. Maintenance & Infrastructure Management: Overseeing the maintenance of plant machinery and equipment, coordinating with the engineering team to minimize downtime, and ensuring smooth operations. Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination: Managing inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of raw materials and supplies. Qualifications and Skills: Education: B.Tech, MBA or equivalent degree in a relevant field Experience: 6-7 years of experience in the Food and/or beverage industry. Skills: Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge: Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards, including FSSAI,ISO and HACCP, Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental procedures, including OSHA, EPA, and other standards and regulations. Proficient use of Internet, spreadsheets and data entry T echnical Skills: Expertise in all aspects of plant management, including production, quality control, maintenance, and safety.
