Planning Engineer

Key Responsibilities: 1. Project Scheduling & Work Planning Develop and manage baseline project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project. Prepare detailed work breakdown structures (WBS), resource-loaded schedules, and project cash flow forecasts. Maintain master schedules for multiple projects  2. Progress Monitoring & Control Track project performance against baseline and identify potential delays or cost overruns. Analyze progress reports from site engineers and update centralized schedules and dashboards. Perform delay analysis and assist in preparing catch-up programs or revised timelines. 3. Coordination & CommunicationCoordinate with site teams, procurement, estimation, billing, and engineering departments for schedule-related inputs. Attend internal review meetings and client coordination meetings (virtually or as needed from the HO). Ensure project teams are aligned with approved schedules and planning deliverables. 4. Reporting & DocumentationPrepare weekly/monthly MIS reports, progress summaries, and delay impact reports. Maintain comprehensive records of planning submissions, revisions, and approvals. Support tender planning documentation and method statements. 5. Planning Tools & StandardizationSet up and maintain standard templates for schedules, resource histograms, and reports. Ensure planning processes adhere to organizational standards and client requirements (especially MES, CPWD formats). Key Skills Preferred:Expert-level proficiency in MS Project and MS Excel Deep understanding of construction scheduling, resource planning, and cost control Knowledge of government & defence sector norms (MES, CPWD, DSR, SSR, etc.) Ability to interpret GFC drawings, BOQs, and contract conditions Strong communication, coordination, and presentation skills
