Job Description

As a Planning Engineer Trainee, you will play a crucial role in supporting the planning and coordination of projects to ensure their timely and cost-effective completion. Working closely with the planning team, you will be involved in developing and implementing project plans, schedules, and budgets. Your key responsibilities will include assisting in project planning by contributing to the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input and ensure alignment for successful project execution. In the area of scheduling, you will be responsible for creating and updating project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project. Monitoring and reporting on schedule performance and deviations will also be part of your role. Resource allocation will be another essential aspect of your responsibilities, where you will assist in allocating resources like labor, materials, and equipment to projects. Your focus will be on ensuring optimal resource utilization and minimizing conflicts. Cost estimation will be a key area where you will contribute by assisting in estimating project costs and developing budgets. Monitoring and reporting on cost performance and deviations will be crucial for project success. You will also be involved in risk management by identifying and assessing project risks and developing and implementing risk mitigation plans to ensure project success. Additionally, you will assist in preparing project reports and updates for stakeholders and effectively communicate project plans, schedules, and budgets to team members and stakeholders. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical), Construction Management, or a related field. 0-2 years of experience in planning, project management, or a related field is preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential. Proficiency in MS Office, Primavera P6, or MS Project is required. A Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field would be a nice-to-have qualification.
