Planning and Billing Engineer

The Planning & Billing Engineer (Civil) is responsible for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and preparation of client and subcontractor bills. The role ensures effective cost control, timely billing, and adherence to project timelines and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare project schedules using

  Primavera P6 / MS Project

  .
• Develop

  baseline schedules

  , work programs, and resource planning.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly project progress.
• Update schedules and analyze delays, deviations, and critical paths.
• Prepare

  weekly and monthly progress reports

  .
• Coordinate with site execution teams for planning and progress tracking.
• Assist in preparation of

  recovery plans

  and catch-up schedules.
• Support claims, extensions of time (EOT), and delay analysis.
• Prepare

  RA bills, final bills

  , and reconciliation statements.
• Measure quantities as per

  BOQ, drawings, and specifications

  .
• Prepare

  client billing

  and ensure timely submission.
• Prepare and verify

  subcontractor bills

  .
• Maintain billing records, measurement books, and documentation.
• Coordinate with accounts for billing certification and payments.
• Track variations, extra items, and deviation statements.
• Coordinate with

  QS, site engineers, consultants, and clients

  .
• Maintain project documentation, DPRs, and MIS reports.
• Ensure billing and planning compliance with contract terms.
• Assist in audits and project reviews.

Qualifications

• B.E / B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering

Skills and Software knowledge

• Proficient in

  Primavera P6 / MS Project

• Strong knowledge of

  AutoCAD

• Good command over

  Excel (advanced formulas, MIS reports)

• Understanding of

  BOQ, contracts, and specifications

• Knowledge of billing procedures and quantity take-offs
• Should have knowledge of ERP Software
