Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned leader to drive the strategy, growth, and operational excellence of our Certificate Programs vertical. This role holds full business ownership spanning P&L, program strategy, delivery, partnerships, and quality assurance within a university environment.

About the Role

The P&L Head will lead end-to-end business performance for the Certificate Programs division. You will scale revenue, improve academic delivery, strengthen processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and build high-demand programs aligned with industry needs.

Key Responsibilities

P&L Ownership & Growth

  • Own complete P&L: revenue, margins, budgeting, forecasting
  • Develop annual business plans aligned with university goals
  • Drive enrolment via marketing, digital channels, partnerships & corporate tie-ups
  • Identify new program opportunities driven by market insights

Academic & Program Strategy

  • Lead design, launch & enhancement of certificate programs
  • Collaborate with academic leaders, SMEs & faculty
  • Ensure alignment with accreditation, quality and learner expectations

Operations & Delivery

  • Lead admissions, student lifecycle, faculty coordination & LMS operations
  • Define & manage SLAs for delivery quality and learner engagement
  • Implement dashboards for enrolments, satisfaction & completion rates

Stakeholder & Team Leadership

  • Build & lead high-performing teams across marketing, admissions & academics
  • Work closely with Directors, Registrar & Compliance teams
  • Manage academic partners, vendors & corporate alliances

Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure adherence to UGC, AICTE & internal university regulations
  • Drive academic audits, process improvements & quality assurance

Data & Insights

  • Use analytics for pricing, program viability, marketing ROI & operational decisions
  • Create MIS reports & dashboards for leadership review

What Were Looking For

  • Strong P&L management experience with a proven revenue-scaling record
  • Deep understanding of higher education, edtech, certificate programs or continuing education
  • Expertise in business planning, financial modelling & forecasting
  • Strong leadership, decision-making & stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with corporate partnerships, product development

Qualifications

  • Postgraduate degree in Management / Business / Education or equivalent
  • 15–20 years of experience in university operations, edtech, executive education or academic business management
