Role & responsibilities 1. Providing surgical patients with pre-operative care in recovery, procedure, and operating rooms. 2. Biomedical Engineer chandigarh 2 - 5 years INR 2.5 - 4.25 Lacs P.A. Work from Office Full Time

Role & responsibilities Install, maintain, calibrate, and repair ophthalmic diagnostic and surgical instruments (slit lamps, phaco machines, OCT, fundus cameras, lasers, microscopes, etc.). Conduct routine preventive maintenance and performance checks on all ophthalmic instruments. Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines, hospital policies, and safety standards. Maintain detailed records of equipment service, calibration, and breakdown reports. Coordinate with vendors and OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) for repairs, servicing, and spare part replacements. Train clinical and paramedical staff in the safe usage of ophthalmic instruments. Support procurement by evaluating technical specifications and suggesting suitable equipment. Ensure equipment uptime to avoid disruption of patient services in OPD, OT, and diagnostic departments. Maintain inventory of critical spare parts, accessories, and consumables. Assist in hospital audits, NABH/NAB accreditation, and compliance documentation related to biomedical equipment. Preferred candidate profile Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Biomedical Engineering or related field. 2–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in ophthalmic healthcare setup. Experience with ophthalmic equipment such as phacoemulsification units, slit lamps, OCT, lasers, and fundus cameras is mandatory.

Role & responsibilities 1.Drive the scheduled patient appointments when needed 2.Counsel patients for all surgeries (cataract/retinal/glaucoma/cornea/lids, etc.) 3.Stay current with the latest technologies & medications and be able to answer general patient questions (premium IOLs, etc.) 4.Verification of medical benefits for surgery and injections. 5.Discuss benefits and costs of non-covered benefits with patients 6.Complete consent and other necessary forms for surgery 7.Forward packet of surgical paperwork to appropriate surgical facility/staff 8.Inform patient of any pre-admission testing (labs, EKG, etc.) as needed. Also, of what is expected day of surgery, answer any pre-surgical questions, and inform of follow up care. 9.Schedule/board patient at correct facility (fax date/doctor/which eye/general information) with the appropriate boarding information per each surgical location requirements 10.Type History & Physical forms 11.Able to accurately complete surgery encounter form. 12.Must comply with all policies and procedures of the organization, including but not limited to standard operating procedures and employee handbook. Preferred candidate profile EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Must be a Graduate EXPERIENCE 1+ years of counselling experience preferably in a hospital PREFERRED SKILLS 1.Must demonstrate data entry skills, knowledge of standard office equipment. 2.Knowledge of medical insurance/benefits and previous experience ICD coding and medical terminology preferred. 3.Familiar with and understand chart documentation and layout 4.Familiar with the anatomy of the eye 5.Ability to handle multiple activities effectively, exhibit good communication and intra-personal skills.
