Facility Operations & Maintenance • Oversee day-to-day operations of all hospital facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and medical gas systems. • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and building systems • Ensure 24/7 operational readiness of critical hospital infrastructure including backup power systems and emergency equipment • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and repairs • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment servicing Healthcare Compliance & Safety • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations including NABH standards, JCI Standards, and Biomedical Waste Management Rules • Implement and maintain fire safety protocols, emergency evacuation procedures, and disaster management plans • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments of the facility • Coordinate with infection control team to maintain hygiene standards in all areas • Ensure proper handling and disposal of biomedical waste as per regulatory requirements Infrastructure & Space Management • Optimize space utilization across departments including OPD, operation theaters, diagnostic areas, and administrative spaces • Plan and execute minor renovations, modifications, and facility improvements • Manage hospital security systems, access control, and CCTV surveillance • Oversee housekeeping operations to maintain cleanliness standards throughout the facility • Coordinate furniture, fixture, and equipment installations, maintenance and repairs • Oversee maintenance of horticulture and pest control services. Vendor & Contract Management • Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with service vendors and contractors • Negotiate contracts and service level agreements for facility services • Monitor vendor performance and ensure quality service delivery • Manage facility-management related procurement and inventory within approved budgets Energy & Sustainability Management • Monitor and optimize energy consumption across all hospital operations • Implement cost-effective energy conservation measures • Manage water resources and waste management systems • Explore and implement sustainable practices where feasible • Maintain cleanliness and optimal functioning of all solar panels Team Leadership & Administration • Lead and manage the facility management team including maintenance staff, housekeeping supervisors, and security personnel • Develop and conduct periodic training programs for staff on equipment operation and safety protocols • Prepare and manage annual facility budgets and track expenditures • Generate regular reports on facility performance, incidents, and improvement initiatives • Coordinate with hospital administration and clinical departments on facility-related matters
