Job Title: Physiotherapist / Occupational Health Specialist

Location: Mount Abu, Rajasthan (Project Site & Corporate Office)

Department: Human Resources & Administration / Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE)

Reports To: Head of Administration / Project Manager

Type: Full-Time

Role Summary

The Physiotherapist is responsible for establishing and managing the occupational musculoskeletal health program, providing clinical assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for all personnel (both site workers and corporate staff). This role is critical in preventing Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WRMSDs), optimizing site ergonomics, and ensuring the swift and safe return to work after injury.

Key Responsibilities1. Clinical Care and Rehabilitation

  • Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive musculoskeletal assessments, determine clinical diagnoses, and formulate evidence-based treatment plans for employees' work-related and non-work-related injuries.
  • Treatment: Provide direct physiotherapy intervention, including manual therapy, electrotherapy, joint mobilization, and therapeutic exercise prescription.
  • Injury Management: Manage rehabilitation programs, including post-surgical and acute injury recovery, focusing on maximizing function and minimizing time away from work.
  • Referral: Liaise with the Staff Nurse, external medical practitioners, or specialists in Mount Abu to ensure holistic and necessary care.

2. Occupational Health and Ergonomics

  • Ergonomic Assessments: Conduct detailed ergonomic risk assessments of office workstations, heavy machinery operation, manual handling tasks, and construction site activities .
  • Injury Prevention: Design and implement preventative programs, including mandatory warm-up routines, stretch breaks, and education on safe lifting and working postures specific to construction trades.
  • Return-to-Work (RTW): Manage structured RTW protocols for injured employees, performing functional capacity evaluations to ensure they can safely resume their duties.
  • Risk Reduction: Recommend modifications to tools, equipment, and work practices to reduce the incidence of back pain, knee injuries, and repetitive strain injuries.

3. Wellness and Health Promotion

  • Training: Conduct group training sessions on core strength, flexibility, posture correction, and joint protection for all staff members.
  • Health Education: Develop and lead workshops focused on chronic pain management, lifestyle modification, and the prevention of common WRMSDs prevalent in the real estate and construction sectors.
  • First Responder Support: Provide specialized support to the SHE team regarding the safe movement and transportation of injured personnel on the project site.

4. Documentation and Administration

  • Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous, confidential, and detailed clinical notes and progress reports on all patient encounters.
  • Reporting: Track and analyze injury data (type, cause, duration of absence) to identify trends and prepare periodic reports for the Project Manager and HR on the effectiveness of ergonomic and preventative programs.
  • Equipment Management: Manage and maintain all physiotherapy and rehabilitation equipment, ensuring proper calibration and hygiene standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy (BPT) or Master's degree in Physiotherapy (MPT) from a recognized university.
  • Licensure: Valid and current registration with the State Physiotherapy Council/Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical practice, with a minimum of 2 years specifically in Occupational Health, Industrial Health, or Sports Medicine.
  • Clinical Skills: Proven expertise in musculoskeletal assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation, particularly related to heavy physical labor and prolonged desk work.
  • Language: Fluency in Hindi and English is essential. Knowledge of local dialects is an advantage.

Pay: ₹10,133.78 - ₹35,795.30 per month
