Primary Title: Scientific Content Writer (Physics | Biology | Chemistry)

We seek a scientifically rigorous writer to create accessible, accurate, and pedagogically-sound content across Physics, Biology, and Chemistry for India-based remote contributors.Role & Responsibilities
- Write clear, accurate, and engaging science content—articles, course modules, problem sets, lab guides, explainer scripts, and technical briefs—targeted to undergraduate, graduate, and professional audiences.
- Translate complex concepts into pedagogically sound learning units with correct terminology, equations, and visuals; prepare figures, captions, and data summaries when needed.
- Conduct rigorous literature reviews, fact-check claims, and maintain properly formatted reference lists (APA/ACS/Chicago or client-specified styles).
- Collaborate with subject-matter experts, instructional designers, illustrators, and editors to iterate content quickly and implement feedback with version control.
- Optimize content for digital platforms: apply SEO best practices, craft metadata/headings, prepare content in Markdown/LMS formats, and ensure accessibility (alt-text, clear structure).
- Perform peer-style reviews and quality checks to ensure scientific accuracy, pedagogical alignment, and editorial standards across deliverables.
Skills & Qualifications
- Must-Have
- MA / MPhil / PhD in Physics, Biology, Chemistry, or closely related STEM field with 2+ years of scientific/educational writing or content development experience.
- Proven portfolio of science content (articles, e-learning modules, problem sets, or publications) demonstrating clarity, rigor, and audience-appropriate tone.
- Exceptional written English, strong data and figure interpretation skills, and familiarity with citation standards and basic equation typesetting.
- Preferred
- Experience with instructional design or LMS platforms (Moodle, Canvas) and authoring tools (Markdown, Google Docs, MS Word, LaTeX basics).
- Working knowledge of SEO/content management systems, and comfort preparing content for web delivery (metadata, headings, alt text).
- Prior remote/team collaboration experience using Slack, Asana, Git or equivalent workflows and the ability to meet deadlines in agile product teams.
