Job Description

Mandate - Required Skillset

  • Physical Design Expertise: 7–10 years of hands-on experience in physical design for ASICs/SoCs, including floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, and optimization for performance, power, and area.
  • Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate physical design teams, delegate tasks effectively, provide technical guidance, and ensure successful project tapeouts.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated project management skills for driving team delivery to project goals, deadlines, and quality standards.
  • Technical Tools Proficiency: Strong command of physical design tools such as Cadence Innovus, Synopsys ICC, and related EDA workflows.
  • Signoff and Analysis: Expertise in timing analysis (STA), IR drop, power estimation, noise analysis, and closing physical verification (DRC/LVS).
  • Scripting and Automation: Proficiency with scripting languages (TCL, Perl, or Python) for flow automation and design efficiency.
  • Communications Skills: Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address complex design issues at the block or full-chip level.

Nice To Have

  • Experience in advanced process nodes (7nm, 5nm, etc.).
  • Knowledge of ECO implementation and methodology.
  • Exposure to low-power design techniques.
