Job Purpose

Plan, organize, coordinate, supervise and ensure implementation of all applicable statutory provisions, acts and rules, HR policies, Lision with Govt Authority & CSR programs and best practices in the plant to achieve hundred percent Employee Engagement & satisfactions.

Job Context & Major Challenges

Job Context – GeneralBirla White is the 7th largest White Cement plant in the world and largest in India. Birla White has emerged from a single commodity premium product to a multi-specialty product Organization for decorative and construction applications commanding market leadership in domestic market and catering the exports to 26 countries in 6 continents. Birla White specialty products include Wall Care Putty, Textura, Level plast & GRC under the Construction Product Directives (CPD). Birla white Cement has been the pioneer in obtaining “CE Mark” for its products CEM I & CEM II. All commercial specialty products of Birla White has the distinction of becoming the “India’s first Eco-Friendly product meeting the requirement of Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) rating system for green Building Construction.Wall care putty is a product used for finishing the surfaces of walls to make it ready for painting Birla White has proposed expand its wall care putty capacity from 8.00 LTPA to 14.00 LTPA. This is proposed by putting up a putty manufacturing plant at Nathdwara with a capacity of 4.00 LTPA Wall care putty and 0.4 LPTA Value Added Product in the same proposed location of wall care putty plant. Proposed installation of new line will result in growth of the surrounding areas by increased direct and indirect employment opportunities in the region including ancillary development and supporting infrastructure.Major challenges
  • To maintain harmonious relationship at shop floor and proactive employee relations
  • Managing Contract Labour Management to supply contractual manpower as per Business Requirement.
  • To ensure 100% Statutory compliances with respect to Industrial & other laws to avoid any legal liability on organization
  • Prevention from external prevailing Industrial Relation scenario.

KRA1 Compliance of Statutory ProvisionsTo comply all statutory requirements under Industrial laws as applicable in the unit
  • Timely Submission of Annual, Half Yearly, Quarterly & monthly Compliance with respect to all Labour Laws
  • Ensuring all required Information / Abstract Display on the Notice Board.
  • Check all compliances physically
  • Collect the data from various department & assist to SH- HR for renewal of factory license, Registration Certificate, etc
  • Maintain statutory records and registers
  • Coordinate inspection & Audits.
KRA2 Industrial Relation
To maintain harmonious relationship at shop floor and proactive employee relationsTo Maintain good relation with Contractors , Stake Holder and Local Villagers
  • Connect with Line Supervisors, engineers, staff, Section Heads on shopfloor matters
  • Regular Meeting with Contractual Manpower
  • Management of in Plant / Off Plant Accidents, cases & ensuring adherence to company policies & guidelines & end to end management of related.
  • External liaisoning with other industries in neighbourhood to capture the pulse.
  • Grievance resolution with in defined time & Manage Help Desk - Capturing all queries & Present Monthly MIS.
KRA3 Contract Labour Management
Managing Contract Labour Management to supply contractual manpower as per Business Requirement
  • Supervision of contract supervisors ensuring their effectiveness, Monitoring Contractor Compliance (Performance Matrix).
  • Recruitment of Contract Labour, Punching & Joining Formalities
  • Bill Clearance, Checking PF, ESIC, Statutory Registers
  • Ensure adequate demographic balance of contractor manpower
  • Ensuring Salary Disbursement as per norms.
  • Timely revision of contractor wages & implementation\
  • Issuing gate pass
KRA4 Manage Time Office
To Manage Time Office Function for various reports/ MIS for supporting Management in decision making.
  • To Monitoring Daily Attendance, Prepare Manpower Report, Prepare Other MIS Report
  • Shift monitoring
  • Monitor Absenteeism case and sending letter to them
  • Counselling of Blue Collar employees
KRA5 CSR & Rural Development
To implement ABG Policy for CSR & Rural development in nearby area for sustainability development
  • To identify area of Sustainability development, Infrastructure support, Skill Development and execute support.
  • To support local villager in Infrastructure support like Lights, Road, Clean Water, Renovation of Water Resources and Drainage Systems.
KRA6 Safety
Ensure safe work practices in the plant and carry out timely safety rounds to ensure safe work practices are adopted at work sites.
  • Identify unsafe areas / points.
  • Ensure implementation of safety procedures, permit system.
  • Ensure use of safety appliances by Workmen and Contractor.
