The short version
What this role is about: The Performance Marketing Centre of Excellence lead is responsible for designing and delivering the performance marketing training that underpins Kraftshala’s programs. You’ll work with top marketing and media experts from India’s leading agencies and brands to distill the most critical concepts in Google and Meta advertising, and design high-impact learning experiences that prepare students to run real campaigns from day one.
Who we’re looking for: We have 2 positions available - one at a junior level and one at a senior level. In both cases, strong experience in running paid campaigns on Google Ads and Meta Ads is a must, along with curiosity, analytical thinking, and the ability to simplify complex ideas.
Why you should apply: This role gives you a rare opportunity to combine marketing expertise with mentorship. You’ll help shape the next generation of performance marketers, build frameworks that define how campaigns are taught in India, and see your work translate directly into student placements and career success.
About us: Kraftshala is India’s largest higher-education institution in terms of marketing placements, with a 94% placement rate across ~3,000 candidates, and we are gunning to become the world’s largest career launchpad across domains.
We’re backed by a number of eminent investors, including ex-unicorn startup founders and CXOs of global giants like RedBus, NoBroker, Nestlé, and Performics.
The detailed version of the role
Kraftshala runs India’s largest marketing program (in terms of placements), called the Marketing Launchpad. This is a 100% live, job-linked program that serves as a talent pipeline for agencies (e.g. Publicis, Dentsu, IPG, Hiveminds, Performics, etc.) as well as brands like Nestlé, Nykaa, Google, Lenskart, Zomato, and 500+ others.
Unlike conventional programs, Kraftshala rapidly updates its curriculum, sometimes every month. For example: think about how the rise of automation and AI-driven campaign types like Performance Max and Advantage+ have changed the way marketers build and optimize campaigns, how privacy updates and conversion modeling are redefining attribution, and how creative testing and first-party data have become the new levers for performance.
As the Performance Marketing Centre of Excellence, you are responsible for ensuring our programs stay at the forefront of these shifts, so that our students can add value to recruiting partners from Day 1.
This includes:
Developing Academic Content: Combine insights from your own campaign experience and conversations with India’s top digital marketing leaders to create frameworks and concepts that simplify campaign management, audience strategy, creative optimization, and measurement. You’ll experiment with tools, case studies, and live campaign setups to keep Kraftshala’s learning experiences updated and relevant.
-
Consulting: Guide students working on live performance marketing projects with partner brands. The goal is to ensure students deliver strong campaign results - from improving CTR and ROAS to optimizing budget allocation - so recruiters know they’re ready from day one.
-
Upgrading Training Design: Use instructional design principles and analytics to upgrade projects, engagement formats, and assessments, while creating repeatable playbooks for campaign planning and optimization.
-
Leading External Experts: Manage a team of 8-12 part-time performance marketing experts who conduct live sessions, give project feedback, and take interviews. You’ll be responsible for selecting, auditing, coaching, and enabling them to deliver high-quality output.
-
Training: Conduct regular live sessions for small and large groups of students on various topics - from campaign setup, audience segmentation, and creative testing to analytics, conversion tracking, and attribution.
-
Analysing Outcome Metrics: Use placement data and student performance insights to identify training gaps and improve both admissions filters and curriculum content.
-
Innovation: Participate in developing new products or propositions as Kraftshala expands, bringing your expertise in performance marketing strategy, automation, and creative optimization to shape new learning experiences.
-
(Optional) Social Media Impact: We plan to create extensive learning content on social media. If you’re interested, you can contribute by simplifying performance marketing insights into engaging, educational formats for wider audiences.
To summarize
The learnings that you’ll get through training, speaking to experts on the one hand, and simplifying concepts for beginners on the other hand, will enable you to consult on running better campaigns, which in turn will help you train better. This virtuous loop will help you become a kickass marketing professional.
Must-Have Skills:
We have 2 positions available, one at a manager/ senior manager level, and another at a senior associate level.
-
3-8 years of hands-on experience in planning, executing, and optimizing paid campaigns on Google Ads (Search, Display, YouTube) and Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram). (We are not too fussed about the number of years. Experience is simply a proxy for capability, which is what we really care for).
