Performance Management:

  • Drive end-to-end performance management processes (goal setting, mid-year and annual reviews, calibration, and feedback).
  • Partner with BU Heads and HRBPs to ensure consistent and fair evaluation practices.
  • Design and implement performance improvement and development plans for underperforming employees.
  • Ensure timely completion of appraisal cycles and data accuracy in performance systems.
  • Facilitate performance calibration sessions and ensure alignment with organizational philosophy.
  • Leverage data to identify performance trends and provide insights to leadership.

Performance Bonus / Incentive Management:

  • Design and manage the

    Performance Bonus and Variable Pay Plans

    in alignment with business results and HR strategy.
  • Partner with Finance and Rewards teams to ensure payout calculations, budget alignment, and compliance.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of incentive plans and recommend enhancements based on market benchmarks and internal effectiveness.
  • Communicate and educate stakeholders on the link between performance and rewards.

Business Partnering:

  • Act as a strategic advisor to BU leaders on performance strategy and talent differentiation.
  • Support succession planning and leadership development initiatives.
  • Work closely with HRBPs to ensure employee engagement and retention through performance insights.

Process Improvement & Analytics:

  • Continuously enhance performance management processes through automation, analytics, and feedback.
  • Use data analytics tools (Excel, Power BI, or similar) to provide reports and dashboards for leadership.
  • Maintain governance and ensure adherence to performance management policies and procedures.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of

    Performance Management Systems (PMS)

    and frameworks (e.g., OKRs, Balanced Scorecard, SMART goals, Bell Curve).
  • Strong grasp of

    Variable Pay / Bonus Plan Design

    , Pay-for-Performance philosophy.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, business acumen, and influencing skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to interpret metrics and provide insights.
  • Expertise in using

    HRIS / PMS tools

    (SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle, Workday, or similar).
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail and process orientation.

Educational Qualifications:

  • MBA / Postgraduate in HR, Business Management, or equivalent from a reputed institute.
  • Certifications in Performance Management, Compensation & Benefits, or HR Analytics will be an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum

    10 years of total HR experience

    , with at least

    5 years in performance management or rewards

    .
  • Proven track record of managing performance management processes for large-scale or multiple BUs.
  • Experience in designing and managing variable pay / performance bonus programs.
