People & Culture Manager

You will be joining Vortex Studios as a People & Culture Manager, responsible for blending Human Resources and Creative Operations to shape a culture as inspiring as the work produced. In this hybrid role, you will balance empathy with structure and creativity with process. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Recruitment & Onboarding** - Strategically hire for full-time and freelance roles. - Ensure smooth onboarding aligned with company culture. - **Culture & Engagement** - Design team rituals, creative sessions, offsites, and engagement programs to strengthen morale and belonging. - **Performance & Growth** - Implement review systems, skill-mapping, and growth plans to foster accountability and professional development. - **Compliance & HR Systems** - Draft and maintain HR policies and ensure compliance with PF, ESIC, POSH, and labor laws. - **Creative Operations Support** - Manage staffing, morale, and team communication during projects in collaboration with producers and directors. - **Freelance & Partner Network** - Build and maintain a network of external creative collaborators. - **Conflict Resolution & Mediation** - Act as a neutral bridge between creative and operational teams for fair conflict management. - **Industry Awareness** - Track creative industry trends and HR innovations for studio readiness. **Qualifications:** - 3-6 years of experience in HR / People & Culture / Operations, preferably in creative industries or startups. - Excellent communication and organizational skills with a people-first approach. - Familiarity with HRMS tools like Zoho People, Keka, or similar systems. **Ideal Candidate Profile:** - MBA or Postgraduate in HR / Psychology / Business Administration preferred. - Certifications in HR analytics, leadership, or culture management are a plus.
