Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled PCB Repair Technician to work on our innovative Bluetooth- and camera-enabled smart sunglasses. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and testing printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic components to ensure optimal product functionality. This role requires expertise in micro-soldering, component-level troubleshooting, and handling compact wearable devices.


Key Responsibilities

● PCB Diagnosis & Repair ○ Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair defective PCBs from smart sunglasses. ○ Perform component-level fault analysis on Bluetooth, camera, audio, battery, and charging circuits. ○ Repair or replace damaged components including ICs, capacitors, resistors, connectors, and sensors. ○ Use schematics, datasheets, and testing equipment to identify issues.

● Soldering & Rework ○ Perform micro-soldering, BGA rework, and fine-pitch soldering on small wearable device PCBs. ○ Handle reflow soldering and reballing of ICs if required. ○ Maintain high precision and neatness while working on compact circuit boards.

● Testing & Quality Control ○ Test PCBs for Bluetooth connectivity, camera functions, battery charging, and audio performance. ○ Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic tools. ○ Ensure repaired boards meet safety, durability, and performance standards.

● Documentation & Reporting ○ Maintain detailed repair logs, test reports, and component usage records. ○ Provide feedback on recurring defects and suggest design/manufacturing improvements. ○ Work closely with engineering/design teams to debug and refine PCB layouts.

● Maintenance & Lab Practices ○ Maintain ESD-safe workspace and proper handling of sensitive components. ○ Ensure all tools and equipment are calibrated and functioning. ○ Follow safety standards and quality protocols.


Required Skills & Qualifications

● Diploma/Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.

● 2+ years of hands-on experience in PCB repair, preferably with consumer electronics or wearables.

● Strong knowledge of: ○ PCB circuit design & repair techniques ○ Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and camera module circuits ○ Battery management systems (Li-ion / Li-Po) ○ Audio circuits (microphone, speakers, amplifiers) ● Proficiency in: ○ Micro-soldering & BGA rework ○ Using oscilloscopes, multimeters, hot air stations, and microscopes ○ Reading and interpreting circuit schematics/datasheets

● Experience with wearable devices, IoT hardware, or compact PCBs preferred.

● Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

● Ability to work independently with attention to detail.


Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

● Experience in repairing AR/VR glasses, smartwatches, or similar smart wearables.

● Familiarity with firmware flashing, Bluetooth debugging, and embedded systems.

● Knowledge of PCB design tools (Altium, Eagle, KiCAD) for collaboration with R&D.

● Previous experience in a consumer electronics repair service center.
