Job Title: Payroll Test Lead – India Location: India (Remote/Hybrid as applicable) Employment Type: Full-time Immediate Joiners Only Job Summary: We are looking to open a new Payroll Test Lead position in India to support our payroll transformation program. This role will play a critical part in overseeing the end-to-end payroll testing strategy as we migrate payroll integration from SAP HCM to Workday. The ideal candidate will have deep domain expertise in payroll processes, testing methodologies, and hands-on experience with global payroll vendors such as ADP, Strada, EY, etc. Key Responsibilities: Define and lead overall payroll testing strategy for end-to-end payroll transformation and integration projects. Lead all phases of payroll testing including: Data Reconciliation : Validate data accuracy between legacy and target systems. Functional Configuration Testing : Ensure payroll rules and system configurations align with business requirements. System Integration Testing (SIT) : Collaborate with upstream and downstream teams to validate interfaces and end-to-end workflows. Payroll Parallel Testing : Drive and manage parallel runs, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions. Handle issues such as unit conversion discrepancies, record lock/unlock between systems, execution sequencing, and cut-off date alignment. Create comprehensive Test Strategies, Test Plans , and detailed Test Scripts ; execute and manage test cycles to ensure full coverage and defect traceability. Work closely with cross-functional teams to manage test data, environments, and defect resolution. Ensure compliance and accuracy in payroll General Ledger (GL) postings and Profit & Loss (P&L) accounting , especially in the context of payroll integration. Collaborate with major payroll vendors (e.g., ADP, Strada, EY) to validate calculations, integration, and country-specific nuances. Provide leadership and mentoring to junior testers and stakeholders across regions. Qualifications & Skills: 6+ years of experience in payroll testing with at least one end-to-end payroll transformation project. Hands-on experience with SAP HCM and Workday payroll integrations is a must. Strong domain knowledge in GL and P&L accounting for payroll . Proven expertise in test planning, test case development, and execution . Experience working with global payroll vendors (ADP, Strada, EY, etc.) across multiple geographies. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment with cross-functional teams. Show more Show less
