Role Overview
The Payroll Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll for 400+ employees across multiple locations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. This role requires deep expertise in payroll systems, statutory compliance, and employee data management, along with the ability to collaborate closely with HR and Finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for 450+ employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Oversee payroll inputs including attendance, leave, overtime, variable pay, and deductions.
- Collaborate with Finance and HR teams to reconcile payroll data and manage audits.
- Handle payroll queries and provide quick resolution to employees.
- Implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy in payroll operations.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information.
- Prepare payroll reports and dashboards for management review.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on payroll management experience, preferably in a mid-to-large-sized organization.
- Strong knowledge of payroll software and tools (e.g., Keka, SAP, ADP, or similar).
- Solid understanding of statutory compliance (PF, ESIC, TDS, Gratuity, Professional Tax, etc.).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive data with discretion.
- Experience managing payroll across multiple locations or entities is a plus.
