Packaging Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

• Packaging Operations Management:

Supervise daily packaging operations, ensuring that products are packaged according to specifications and timelines.

Ensure the packaging of products meets company quality standards and customer requirements.

Troubleshoot packaging issues and implement corrective actions as needed.

• Team Management:

Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of packaging operators and staff.

Train new employees on packaging processes, equipment, and safety standards.

Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and conduct performance appraisals.

• Inventory and Materials Management:

Ensure adequate stock of packaging materials (boxes, labels, tapes, etc.) is maintained and that they are used efficiently.

Coordinate with the procurement department to reorder materials when stock is low.

Monitor material wastage and recommend ways to reduce costs without compromising quality.

• Quality Control:

Conduct regular quality checks to ensure all packaged products meet safety and quality standards.

Report any quality deviations to the Production Manager and work with the team to resolve issues.

• Safety and Compliance:

Ensure that the packaging department adheres to all safety regulations and practices.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment to minimize accidents and injuries.

Ensure packaging materials comply with environmental and regulatory standards.

• Reporting & Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of packaging activities, production output, and material usage.

Provide regular reports on packaging performance, highlighting any issues and solutions implemented.

• Collaboration:

Work closely with production, warehouse, and quality control teams to ensure smooth coordination and timely product delivery.

Assist in resolving any production bottlenecks related to packaging.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Educational Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Packaging, Production, or related fields.
• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in packaging supervision or production management, preferably in the plastics or manufacturing industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in using packaging machinery and tools. Strong knowledge of packaging materials and their applications.
• Leadership: Proven ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot packaging-related issues and implement efficient solutions.
• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with other departments and team members.
• Safety Awareness: Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,021.86 per month
