Industry & Sector:

Healthcare — Tertiary & multispeciality orthopaedics, trauma and surgical services. We deliver inpatient and outpatient orthopaedic care, elective arthroplasty, arthroscopy and acute trauma management for adult and geriatric populations across Indian hospital settings.

Primary Job Title:

Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon (On‑site) — IndiaRole & Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality clinical assessment, diagnosis and management for orthopaedic patients across OPD, ward rounds and emergency admissions, ensuring evidence-based care and excellent patient outcomes.
  • Perform a full range of orthopaedic surgeries including primary and revision joint replacement (hip/knee/shoulder), arthroscopy procedures and trauma operations (ORIF, intramedullary nailing, external fixation).
  • Lead perioperative planning and post‑operative care: consent, surgical planning, complication management, rehabilitation coordination and discharge planning.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (anaesthesia, physiotherapy, nursing, radiology) to optimise patient flow, reduce length of stay and improve functional recovery.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and coding in EMR, participate in morbidity & mortality reviews, clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor junior surgeons, registrars and allied health staff; contribute to training, protocols and development of surgical best practices.

Skills & Qualifications

Must‑Have

  • MBBS with MS (Orthopaedics) or DNB (Orthopaedics) and current registration with the Indian Medical Council / State Medical Council.
  • 3+ years of independent surgical experience in joint replacement, arthroscopy and trauma surgery in a tertiary hospital or recognised orthopaedic centre.
  • Proven operating theatre competence: primary/revision arthroplasty, fixation techniques (plates, nails), and arthroscopic procedures.
  • Strong clinical judgement, pre/post‑operative patient management skills and familiarity with EMR documentation.

Preferred

  • Fellowship or specialised training in joint replacement, arthroscopy or trauma (national/international). AO trauma certification or equivalent is an advantage.
  • Experience with clinical governance activities, audit, teaching and protocol development in orthopaedics.
