Job Description Role & Responsibilities : Database Development and Optimization : Design, develop, and optimize SQL databases, tables, views, and stored procedures to meet business requirements and performance goals. Data Retrieval and Analysis : Write efficient and high-performing SQL queries to retrieve, manipulate, and analyze data. Data Integrity and Security : Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security through regular monitoring, backups, and data cleansing activities. Performance Tuning : Identify and resolve database performance bottlenecks, optimizing queries and database configurations. Error Resolution : Investigate and resolve database-related issues, including errors, connectivity problems, and data inconsistencies. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Analysts, Software Developers, and Business Analysts, to support data-driven decision-making. Maintain comprehensive documentation of database schemas, processes, and procedures. Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with data protection regulations. Assist in planning and executing database upgrades and migrations. To be considered for this role, you should have : Relevant Work Experience : Relevant work experience as a SQL Developer or in a similar role. Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work Skills : Proficiency in SQL, including T-SQL for Microsoft SQL Server or PL/SQL for Oracle. Strong knowledge of database design principles, normalization, and indexing. Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Desirable Skills Database Management Certifications Certifications in database management (e., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) are a plus.
