Job Description

Position Summary:
The Tour Operation Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of travel and tour services for clients. This role ensures smooth operations, high-quality customer experiences, and profitability by managing staff, liaising with suppliers, and developing effective tour packages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Management
  • Plan, organize, and manage daily tour operations.
  • Oversee reservations, ticketing, and itineraries.
  • Ensure compliance with travel regulations, health & safety standards, and company policies.
  • Tour Package Development
  • Design and update tour packages based on market demand and trends.
  • Negotiate contracts with hotels, airlines, transport providers, and local guides.
  • Monitor profitability and make adjustments to pricing and offerings.
  • Customer Experience
  • Ensure exceptional customer service throughout the client journey.
  • Handle escalations, complaints, and service recovery effectively.
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Team Leadership
  • Recruit, train, and supervise tour staff and guides.
  • Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and motivate the team to meet goals.
  • Conduct regular briefings and debriefings for tour leaders.
  • Financial & Reporting
  • Prepare budgets and manage operational costs.
  • Track revenue, expenses, and profitability of tours.
  • Generate reports for senior management with recommendations.
  • Business Development
  • Build relationships with partners, agents, and vendors.
  • Stay updated on travel industry trends and competitor offerings.
  • Contribute to marketing strategies and promotional activities.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in tour operations, travel management, or hospitality.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management abilities.
  • Proficiency in travel booking systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Work Environment

  • Office-based with frequent travel to inspect tours, meet suppliers, and accompany groups when needed.
  • Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on tour schedules.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
