Business Development & Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Client Acquisition

• Identify and acquire new corporate clients (IT, MNCs, startups, large brands).
• Pitch event services like annual days, conferences, R&Rs, brand launches, expos, and activations.
• Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and company profiles.
• Build strong networks with HR, Marketing, Admin, and Procurement teams.
  

Lead Generation & Market Research

• Generate leads through networking, LinkedIn, references, cold calling, and corporate visits.
• Study market trends, competition, and pricing strategies.
• Maintain and update a strong sales pipeline.
  

Key Account Management

• Manage and grow relationships with existing clients.
• Ensure repeat business by understanding event cycles and requirements.
• Maintain timely communication and ensure client satisfaction.
  

Proposal Creation & Costing

• Prepare event concepts, budgets, cost sheets, and BOQs.
• Coordinate with design and production teams for accurate proposals.
• Participate in tenders, RFPs, and vendor empanelment processes.
  

Operations Management (Corporate Events)

Event Planning & Execution

• Oversee logistics, technical setups, manpower, and vendor coordination.
• Conduct venue recces and prepare detailed execution plans.
• Manage vendors for fabrication, branding, lighting, sound, LED, dcor, and manpower.
  

Team Leadership

• Lead production, design, logistics, and on-ground event teams.
• Assign tasks, monitor timelines, and follow SOPs.
• Handle on-site issues and ensure smooth event flow.
  

Vendor & Procurement Management

• Maintain strong vendor networks.
• Negotiate pricing and ensure quality and timely deliveries.
• Manage procurement of branding, production materials, and equipment.
  

Quality Control & Compliance

• Ensure setups meet quality, brand guidelines, and safety standards.
• Conduct pre-event checks and coordinate permissions with venues.
  

On-Ground Event Management

• Supervise setups, rehearsals, and live event operations.
• Manage show flow, artists, emcees, and technical cues.
• Communicate with clients and solve issues in real time.
  

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain MIS reports, production checklists, and event documents.
• Coordinate with finance for invoicing, payments, and billing.
• Submit post-event reports and feedback.
  

Strategic Growth

• Support company growth plans and service expansion.
• Identify opportunities in digital events, experiential activations, and hybrid solutions.
• Assist management in annual business planning.
