About the Role

Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Guest Experience

• Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations ensuring smooth FOH & BOH coordination.
• Maintain and elevate guest experience standards in line with premium dining expectations.
• Proactively handle guest feedback, complaints, and service recovery.
• Ensure SOPs, service rituals, and brand standards are consistently implemented.

Team Leadership & People Management

• Recruit, train, mentor, and retain FOH & BOH teams in collaboration with HR and kitchen leadership.
• Drive a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, training sessions, and skill development programs.
• Ensure proper staff scheduling, attendance management, and productivity optimization.

Financial & Commercial Management

• Own P&L performance, budgeting, and cost control (food cost, beverage cost, manpower cost, overheads).
• Monitor daily sales, covers, average spend, and profitability metrics.
• Implement revenue enhancement strategies including menu engineering, upselling, promotions, and events.
• Ensure accurate billing, cash handling, and financial compliance.

Vendor & Inventory Management

• Manage vendor relationships, negotiations, and procurement.
• Oversee inventory planning, stock control, wastage reduction, and audits.
• Ensure quality and consistency of raw materials and supplies.

Compliance, Safety & Hygiene

• Ensure compliance with FSSAI, local licensing, fire safety, labor laws, and statutory regulations.
• Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety.
• Conduct regular audits and corrective action plans.

Pre-opening & Brand Building (if applicable)

• Support pre-opening activities including setup, vendor onboarding, SOP development, and dry runs.
• Collaborate with marketing teams on launches, PR events, influencer collaborations, and brand activations.
• Represent the restaurant professionally with partners, guests, and stakeholders.

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience

• 6–10 years of progressive experience in restaurant operations.
• Prior experience in premium, fine-dining, luxury, or high-end casual restaurants is mandatory.
• Pan-Asian cuisine exposure preferred.
• Pre-opening experience will be a strong advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent guest-handling and communication abilities.
• Sound financial acumen and understanding of restaurant P&L.
• High attention to detail with a passion for service excellence.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Tech-savvy with experience in POS, inventory, and reporting systems.

Education

• Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or Business Administration preferred.
