Position Summary

The Cluster Manager - Operations is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the overall performance, operational excellence, and strategic growth of multiple eye clinic locations within a designated geographic cluster. This role combines hands-on operational management with analytical prowess to drive business growth, ensure the highest standards of patient care, and identify opportunities for market expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Travel and Operational Monitoring & Management.

a. Conduct regular visits to all clinics within the cluster to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

b. Monitor and audit daily operations, including patient flow, appointment scheduling, optical retail, clinical services, inventory management, and housekeeping.

c. Provide on-ground leadership, coaching, and support to Clinic Managers and their teams to resolve operational challenges and improve efficiency.

d. Ensure all clinics comply with company policies, healthcare regulations, and safety standards.

e. Serve as the key liaison between clinic staff and senior management, ensuring clear communication and implementation of initiatives.

2. Business Trend Analysis and Market Expansion

a. Conduct thorough analysis of local market trends, competitor activities, and patient demographics within the cluster.

b. Analyze clinic-level P&L statements, identify variance drivers, and provide insightful commentary on financial performance.

c. Prepare and present detailed reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as patient volume, revenue per patient, conversion rates, and inventory turnover.

d. Use data analytics to identify underperforming areas and develop targeted action plans for improvement.

e. Strategic Expansion: Research and evaluate potential areas for new clinic locations or satellite centers. Lead feasibility studies and contribute to the business case for expansion within the cluster.

a. Develop and execute localized strategies to increase patient acquisition, retention, and overall clinic profitability.

b. Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement effective local marketing and community outreach programs.

c. Analyze the effectiveness of promotional campaigns and growth initiatives in a timely manner, making data-driven recommendations for optimization.

d. Monitor and report on growth metrics weekly/monthly, providing timely alerts and corrective actions to ensure targets are met.

e. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in patient service to enhance brand reputation and drive organic growth.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field. MBA is a plus.

2. 5+ years of experience in a multi-unit operations management role, preferably within the healthcare, hospital, pharmacy, or retail clinic sector. Experience in the eye care industry is a significant advantage.

3. Proven track record of driving business growth and improving operational efficiency across multiple locations.

4. Willingness and ability to travel extensively (approx. 60-70% of the time) within the assigned cluster.

1. Strong Analytical Skills: Expert proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis and visualization.

2. Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of P&L management, budgeting, and financial forecasting.

3. Leadership & People Management: Exceptional ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams remotely and on-site.

4. Problem-Solving: A proactive and strategic thinker with a strong ability to identify problems, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions.

5. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly to diverse audiences.

6. Organizational Skills: Superior time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
