OpenShift Administrator

Locations : Pan India (Multiple Locations Available)

About The Opportunity

A reputed IT Services & Consulting firm is looking to onboard experienced OpenShift Administrators at various experience levels across India. This role is ideal for professionals skilled in OpenShift platform administration, who can support enterprise containerized application environments and drive platform adoption.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for designing, deploying, managing, and scaling OpenShift environments. You'll also play a key role in ensuring platform performance, enforcing security standards, supporting developers, and implementing automation across the infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust, secure, and scalable OpenShift (OCP) clusters based on business needs
  • Architect hybrid and cloud-native solutions including ROSA, ARO, or Anthos
  • Handle full cluster lifecycle management including deployment, upgrades, patching, and scaling
  • Administer core OpenShift components, networking, and service routing
  • Monitor performance, implement logging (Prometheus, EFK), and manage alerts
  • Apply platform governance using RBAC, SCCs, and integrate authentication systems (LDAP, SAML, OAuth)
  • Configure persistent storage and manage cluster networking policies
  • Provide guidance and operational support to application teams working on OpenShift
  • Conduct onboarding sessions and contribute to documentation and best practices

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with OpenShift administration
  • Strong working knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Scripting ability (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices
  • Exposure to OpenShift add-ons like Pipelines, GitOps, Service Mesh, and Quay
  • Red Hat certifications (e.g., RHCE, OpenShift Specialist) are a plus
  • Solid understanding of performance tuning, audit logging, security, and cost management
