Noc Engineer

Were looking for a proactive L1 NOC Engineer to monitor infrastructure, networks, and applications, ensuring smooth 24/7 operations. Youll handle basic incident management, troubleshoot issues, manage tickets, and support documentation efforts. Ideal candidates should have 13 years of experience in NOC/helpdesk roles, basic OS and cloud knowledge, and be comfortable working in rotational shifts.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Monitor Infrastructure & Network:

  Continuously monitor systems, networks, and applications to ensure high availability and performance.

• Incident Response & Ticketing:

  Respond to alerts, perform basic troubleshooting, and escalate issues as per SOPs. Maintain accurate incident logs and manage tickets effectively.

• Reporting & Documentation:

  Assist in updating network/server documentation and contribute to knowledge base articles. Provide basic reports on system health and incident trends.

• Process Adherence:

  Follow ITIL-aligned procedures for incident, change, and problem management. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations.

• Shift & On-Call Support:

  Participate in rotational shifts and provide 24/7 support, including on-call duties during off-hours.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 13 years of experience in NOC monitoring, or similar roles.
• CCNA/MCSE/RHCE or other relevant entry-level certifications.
• Prior experience in a NOC or helpdesk environment.
• Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux Server).
• Cloud foundation/Associate certification is a plus.

Note: This role is client deployed and will in Grant Thornton payrolls for 12 months post which will be moved to client payroll directly
