Noc Engineer

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced NOC Engineer to lead the setup and implementation of our new Network Operations Center (NOC) and manage the monitoring, performance, and security of network systems and IT infrastructure.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience with NOC tools, and the ability to train and guide internal team members in operational best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design, configure, and implement a new NOC setup aligned with organizational requirements.

Monitor and maintain network and system infrastructure 24x7 using NOC tools.

Identify, diagnose, and resolve network and system issues within SLA timelines.

Conduct training sessions for internal teams on NOC processes, tools, and incident management.

Escalate unresolved incidents to the relevant support teams and ensure timely follow-up.

Perform regular system health checks, log analysis, and incident documentation.

Support configuration, patching, and routine maintenance of servers, firewalls, and network devices.

Generate reports on system performance, uptime, and incident metrics.

Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for service restoration and preventive maintenance.

Implement best practices in monitoring, alerting, and incident response.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

4–5 years of experience in NOC operations, IT infrastructure management, or network support.

Proven experience in setting up or managing a NOC environment.

Strong understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewall concepts.

Experience working with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, ManageEngine, Zabbix, or similar.

Good knowledge of Windows/Linux servers and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) preferred.

Ability to work in 24x7 rotational shifts.

Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
