Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Network Design & Implementation:
1. Design, deploy, and maintain data center network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
2. Ensure scalability and redundancy of the network to meet business needs.
3. Collaborate with system and security teams to integrate network services with other infrastructure components.
Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
1. Monitor network performance, availability, and security using tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or Nagios.
2. Identify and resolve network issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
3. Perform regular system health checks and proactive maintenance.
Security & Compliance:
1. Implement network security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and access controls.
2. Ensure compliance with industry standards and security policies (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
3. Respond to and mitigate security incidents as needed.
Cloud & Virtualization Integration:
1. Work with hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their networking components (VPCs, VPNs, SD-WAN).
2. Manage network connectivity within virtualized environments such as VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanix.
Documentation & Reporting:
1. Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
2. Prepare regular reports on network performance, capacity planning, and incident resolution.
Capacity Planning & Upgrades:
1. Evaluate network capacity and recommend improvements to meet future demands.
2. Assist in planning and executing hardware/software upgrades with minimal disruption.
Collaboration & Support:
1. Work closely with IT and operations teams to support business applications and services.
2. Provide technical support and training to junior network staff.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in data center networking.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, QoS, etc.).
Experience with enterprise-grade networking equipment (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, etc.).
Familiarity with SDN (Software Defined Networking) and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).
Hands-on experience with firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA).
Working knowledge of cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure VNets).
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or equivalent are highly preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
