Job Description

The National Key Account Manager - Modern Trade will be responsible for managing and

expanding relationships with national retail chains and modern trade partners within the

Healthcare & Hygiene industries. This role requires a strategic mindset to drive sales growth,

enhance market share, and ensure optimal execution of sales and marketing strategies. The

ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of the modern

trade landscape, and the ability to foster long-term partnerships.

Job Reasonability:

Account Management:

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key national accounts in the modern trade sector.
  • Negotiate terms of trade, annual contracts, and promotional plans with major retail chains.

Sales Strategy & Market Analysis:

  • Formulate and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
  • Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities within the Healthcare & Personal Hygiene sectors.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve product positioning and market penetration.

Business Development:

  • Lead initiatives to introduce new products and promotions in collaboration with marketing and product development teams.
  • Develop and execute joint business plans with key accounts to drive mutual growth

Performance Monitoring:

  • Track and analyze sales performance, market share, and profitability for key accounts.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on sales activities, forecasts, and performance metrics.

Team Collaboration & Customer Relationship:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Supply Chain, and
  • Finance to ensure seamless execution of sales plans.
  • Mentor and guide regional account managers and sales representatives.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective account management and problem resolution.
  • Organize and conduct regular business reviews with key accounts.

Qualifications and Skills Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA
  • preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in key account management, preferably within
  • the FMCG, Healthcare & Hygiene industries.
  • Proven track record of managing national accounts and driving sales growth in the modern trade sector.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel as required.
