We are currently seeking an experienced US mortgage Underwriter to join our team in the night shift. The ideal

candidate will have experience in FHA and VA underwriting for the US mortgage. Proficiency in Encompass

software is preferred and will be considered an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate loan applications for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company and industry guidelines.

2. Underwrite mortgage loans according to established policies and procedures.

3. Analyse borrower financial documents, credit reports, and collateral to determine loan eligibility.

4. Ensure timely review and decision-making on loan applications to meet closing deadlines.

5. Collaborate with loan officers, processors, and other team members to resolve issues and expedite loan

approvals.

6. Communicate underwriting decisions effectively to internal stakeholders and external parties.

7. Stay updated on industry regulations, underwriting guidelines, and market trends.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field (preferred).

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Live mortgage underwriting.

3. Strong understanding of FHA and VA loan programs.

4. Proficiency in Encompass or similar mortgage origination software.

5. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

6. Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
