Principal Activities

  • Laying Down Commodity Strategy For Varied Commodities.
  • Working With The Team To Overcome Challenges On Pr.
  • Working With Planning To Manage Inventory Control.
  • Mentoring The Team And Providing Support Wherever Required.
  • Working On Process Improvements By Identifying Nva And Implementing Improved Processes.
  • Sourcing New Suppliers And Onboarding Them As Per Requirements.
  • Participating In Kaizen And Workshops.
  • Developing A Vendor Database For Better Negotiations And Improvement In Quality And Otd.
  • Working With Suppliers To Meet Sotd.
  • Working With Suppliers On Rate Contracts And Vmi.
  • Developing Sourcing Strategies For Better Negotiations And Pricing.
  • Working On Vendor Rationalization As Per Agreement With Global Sourcing.
  • Completing Mandatory And Online Supply Chain Trainings.
  • Identifying Supplier Gaps And Working With Them To Meet Otd And Quality Requirements.
  • Working With Quality On High Dppm Suppliers And Developing Improvement Plans Accordingly.
  • Supporting The Team On Pre-Bid Activities.
  • Analyzing Processes, Product Categories, And Spending Patterns Within The Company Considering Departments Involved, Quantities, Locations, And Processes Used.
  • Analyzing The Supply Market And Creating Supplier Portfolios Focused On Risks, Opportunities, And Total Cost Including Raw Materials And Transportation.
  • Developing Cross-Functional Teams To Determine Sourcing Approaches Based On Company Goals, Evaluating Supplier Competitiveness And Availability Of Alternatives.
  • Conducting Thorough Research On Potential Suppliers And Requesting Proposals Based On Required Specifications (Cost, Products, Legal Terms, Delivery, Etc.).
  • Reviewing And Comparing Proposals And Seeking Clarifications Where Required, Including Multiple Rounds Of Negotiation When Necessary.
  • Integrating Selected Suppliers Into Existing Processes, Maintaining Open Communication, Ensuring Suppliers Are Aware Of Changes, And Facilitating Onboarding Of New Suppliers, Vendors, And Outsourcing Providers.
  • Monitoring Supplier Performance On An Ongoing Basis To Ensure Optimum Value And Optimizing Strategic Sourcing Plans As Required.

  • Strong Exposure To Vendor Management
  • Good Understanding Of Lean Principles
  • Good Understanding Of Project Management Aspects
  • Hands-On Experience Using SAP (Preferably SAP Version 760)
  • Detail Oriented
  • Strong MIS Reporting Capability
  • Team Player With Understanding Of Change Management
  • Education & Experience:
  • E. In Mechanical / Production Engineering With MBA In Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum 10-12 Years Of Experience In Procurement Of Bought Out Items.
  • Good Understanding About Various Quality Tools Like Why - Why Analysis, Control Plan, PFMEA, MSA, R & R, Etc.
  • Experience Of Using SAP Version 760.
