In this role, you will be responsible for the operational support, optimization, and continuous improvement of our AWS and Azure environments. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and multiple external technology partners across various regions to ensure the scalability, security, and performance of our cloud-hosted services.This is a hands-on technical role requiring deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a complex, multi-partner global environment.Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, manage, and support cloud-based infrastructure solutions in AWS and Azure.
- Maintain and enhance system reliability, performance, and security across hosting platforms.
- Collaborate with global teams and external partners to deliver consistent cloud service operations and support.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) scripts using tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or CloudFormation.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines and automate routine cloud operations tasks.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure issues and incidents.
- Participate in capacity planning, cost optimization, and architectural reviews.
- Ensure compliance with corporate and industry standards for cloud security and data protection.
- Support disaster recovery planning and testing for hosted environments.
- Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and configurations.
Expected Outcomes (First 12 Months)
- Stabilize and Optimize Cloud Environments:
Demonstrate improved uptime, performance, and cost efficiency across AWS and Azure platforms by assessing and optimizing current deployments.
- Strengthen Multi-Partner Collaboration:
Establish strong working relationships with key global partners and vendors, ensuring clear communication protocols, defined SLAs, and collaborative incident resolution processes.
- Implement Automation and IaC Standards:
Deliver automated infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure-as-Code principles to reduce manual overhead and increase deployment consistency.
- Improve Monitoring and Incident Response:
Deploy or enhance monitoring and alerting systems to provide real-time visibility into system health and drive faster incident resolution.
- Ensure Security and Compliance Alignment:
Identify and remediate gaps in cloud security posture and ensure hosted environments align with organizational policies, industry standards, and compliance requirements.
- Document and Knowledge Share:
Produce clear, well-organized technical documentation and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives to improve cross-team understanding and supportability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering or system administration.
- Strong hands-on expertise in both AWS and Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with multi-region or multi-cloud deployments in a global enterprise setting.
- Proficiency with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
- Strong understanding of networking, identity and access management, and security best practices in the cloud.
- Ability to work collaboratively across different time zones and with external technology vendors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent.
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments and integration with on-prem systems.
- Knowledge of container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management frameworks.
