We are seeking a highly skilled Node.js / MERN Stack Developer with strong experience in backend development using Node.js, NestJS, and Express.js, along with deep knowledge of MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and scalable API design.

The ideal candidate will work on building high-performance backend services, integrating databases, implementing DevOps best practices, and ensuring smooth application architecture across the stack.

Experience with Docker, AWS, Git, and modern deployment tools is essential.

Key Responsibilities Backend Development

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js, NestJS, and Express.js.
Build RESTful APIs, microservices, and server-side logic.
Implement efficient and reusable backend components, middleware, and services.
Work with MongoDB and PostgreSQL, including schema design, optimization, and query tuning.
Integrate third-party services, authentication systems, and external APIs.

System Architecture & Performance

Contribute to application architecture discussions and decisions.
Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of backend systems.
Optimize existing codebase for maximum speed and efficiency.
Implement caching strategies (Redis, in-memory cache) for performance improvement.

DevOps & Deployment

Work with Docker for containerization and development workflows.
Deploy backend services on AWS (EC2, Lambda, ECS, S3, CloudWatch, RDS, etc.).
Set up CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, builds, and deployment.
Monitor server performance, logs, and health metrics.

Database Management

Strong understanding of MongoDB — indexing, aggregation, schema design.
Experience with PostgreSQL — relational modeling, stored procedures, migrations.
Implement backup, replication, and security best practices for database systems.

Front-End Collaboration (MERN)

Collaborate with React developers for full-stack requirements.
Build efficient APIs and data flows compatible with React UI.
Understand the MERN ecosystem to support full-stack architecture decisions.

Team Collaboration & Documentation

Work closely with product, mobile, frontend, and QA teams.
Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices across the team.
Create and maintain clear technical documentation.
Provide task estimations and ensure timely delivery of modules.

Required Skills & Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on experience in backend development using Node.js.
Strong proficiency in:
Node.js
NestJS
Express.js
MongoDB
PostgreSQL
Experience with:
Docker & container-based deployments
AWS cloud services
CI/CD pipelines
Git version control
Strong understanding of microservices architecture and API security.
Experience with authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth, RBAC).
Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
Excellent debugging and performance tuning skills.
Strong communication and problem-solving capabilities.

Nice to Have

Experience with GraphQL (Apollo Server / Nexus).
Knowledge of TypeScript (preferred for NestJS).
Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS).
Experience with Redis caching.
Knowledge of Docker Compose, Kubernetes, or ECS.
Exposure to Serverless architecture (AWS Lambda).
