Head – MEP Design

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the

  end-to-end MEP design process

  , from concept to final delivery, ensuring alignment with project objectives, quality standards, and cost targets.

• Coordinate seamlessly

  with architectural, structural, and project management teams to ensure proper integration of MEP systems within the overall design framework.

• Review and approve

  design drawings, calculations, technical specifications, and tender documents prepared by internal teams or external consultants.
• Provide

  technical leadership

  and mentorship to the MEP design team, fostering innovation, efficiency, and adherence to industry best practices.
• Ensure

  compliance with local and international codes and standards

  (e.g., NBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, IS Codes).
• Conduct

  site visits and design validation inspections

  to ensure that MEP installations are executed in accordance with approved designs.
• Liaise with

  external consultants, vendors, and contractors

  to resolve technical issues and optimize design efficiency.
• Oversee

  value engineering exercises

  to optimize cost, energy efficiency, and sustainability without compromising functionality.
• Collaborate with the procurement and project execution teams to

  evaluate MEP equipment and materials

  , ensuring technical suitability and commercial viability.
• Lead the

  implementation of BIM and digital design tools

  for enhanced design accuracy, coordination, and documentation.
• Prepare

  periodic reports and presentations

  for management on design progress, design risks, and key technical decisions.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Education:

  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• Experience:

  12–17 years of experience in MEP design and coordination within the

  real estate or construction industry

  , preferably with exposure to

  large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments

  .
• Strong expertise in

  HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems

  design and integration.
• Proficiency in

  AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), and other design software

  .
• Excellent understanding of

  building services design principles, sustainability standards, and green building concepts

  .
• Proven ability to

  lead multidisciplinary teams

  , manage consultants, and deliver high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
