Job Title: Medical sales manager

Location: Coimbatore
Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹40,000 per month
Employment Type: Full-time, On-site

About the Role

Pharma One is looking for a highly driven and strategic Senior Sales Manager to lead and scale sales operations across the Coimbatore region. This role requires a seasoned professional with strong leadership capabilities, in-depth pharmaceutical market knowledge, and a proven ability to drive sustainable revenue growth. The incumbent will be responsible for business expansion, team performance, key account management, and market leadership.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sales & Revenue Leadership

  • Develop, execute, and monitor regional sales strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Drive achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
  • Identify and capitalize on high-potential markets, products, and customer segments.
  • Strengthen market penetration and brand positioning across the assigned territory.

Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the regional sales team to ensure high performance and accountability.
  • Set clear KPIs, conduct regular performance reviews, and implement corrective action plans when required.
  • Plan and deliver ongoing training, coaching, and development programs for the sales team.
  • Foster a results-oriented and ethical sales culture.

Key Account & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts including hospitals, pharmacies, clinics, distributors, and institutional clients.
  • Oversee negotiations, pricing discussions, and long-term commercial agreements.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention through proactive engagement.

Market Intelligence & Business Planning

  • Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and customer insights to drive informed decision-making.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, MIS reports, and performance dashboards for management review.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to improve sales effectiveness and operational efficiency.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, supply chain, finance, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Ensure timely order fulfillment, stock availability, and issue resolution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, with proven exposure to senior or managerial roles.
  • Strong understanding of pharma products, distribution channels, and regional market dynamics.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams and achieving aggressive sales targets.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
