Media Director

As the Media Director at VaynerMedia APAC, your role is crucial in leading insights-driven media and measurement strategies, strengthening client & partner agency relationships, and growing and mentoring the founding team at Vayner India. You will manage a division within the Paid Media Department, consisting of Analysts, Senior Analysts, Managers, and Associate Directors. Your responsibilities include becoming a trusted leader within the organization, overseeing high-level operations management, fostering innovation, maintaining client/partner relationships, and ensuring excellence in media execution. Your expertise will be demonstrated through: - Ensuring media plans are of the highest standard, providing strategic guidance on reporting calls with clients, and assisting in presentation material creation - Leading a team of media analysts, offering mentorship, vision, and technical expertise, and fostering team career growth and a positive work environment - Contributing to the growth and stability of VaynerMedia by making decisions that benefit the company in the long run - Managing negotiations for high-value packages, setting up processes for execution, and delegating work effectively to deliver seamless client work - Leading by example in attention to detail, work ethic, empathy, and professionalism, and fostering a culture of intelligent risk-taking, innovation, and creativity within the team - Collaborating across disciplines to craft omnichannel media strategies that drive tangible business outcomes for large brands - Identifying client needs and selling through incremental campaign opportunities to help grow their business Qualifications: - Minimum of 8+ years of industry experience in advertising media landscape in the APAC region, with expertise in planning and buying digital and ATL media - Proven track record of executing sophisticated, large-scale digital media programs that drove tangible business outcomes - Strong network of media and marketing professionals in the APAC region, including major publishers and brands - Advanced written, presentation, and communication skills - Experience in leading and managing teams of at least 6-8 individuals, with cross-disciplinary experience being a plus - Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and working as an integrated team across creative, media, and strategy - Professional English skills required, bilingual abilities are advantageous VaynerMedia APAC is a full-service agency that thrives on culture and empathy.
