The Opportunity
Looking for skilled Mechanical Supplier Quality
What You Need
Mechanical Supplier Quality and Supplier Validation.
Typical Responsibilities
- Identify and document supplier-related non-conformances using internal systems (e.g., SAP, QMS)
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) using engineering tools and methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa)
- Collaborate with suppliers to understand technical issues and failure modes
- Develop and validate corrective actions with suppliers
- Ensure preventive measures are implemented to avoid recurrence
- Interface with supplier quality engineers to resolve NCs.
- Track and follow up on open issues until closure.
- Analyze NC trends and generate reports for management.
- Maintain dashboards and KPIs related to supplier quality performance.
- Work with procurement, design, production, and quality teams to resolve supplier issues.
- Provide feedback to design and sourcing teams for supplier improvement.
- Assess the impact of supplier NCs on production and customer satisfaction.
- Escalate critical issues to senior management or quality leadership.
- Functional Knowledge
- Understanding of Quality Management System and standards.
- Familiarity with internal and supplier audit processes.
- Knowledge of document control and traceability requirements.
- Procedures for identifying, documenting, and managing supplier NCs.
- Use of NC tracking tools (e.g., SAP QM, NCM, or custom QMS platforms)
- Proficiency in RCA tools: 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram etc,.
- Ability to lead or support 8D problem-solving processes
- Developing effective CAPA plans with suppliers.
- Verifying and validating corrective actions.
- Monitoring effectiveness and closure of CAPAs
- Understanding of supplier process capabilities and control plans.
- Familiarity with PPAP, FMEA, and APQP methodologies.
- Ability to assess and improve supplier quality performance
- Strong communication skills for working with suppliers and internal teams.
- Problem Solving
- Solves complex technical problems that have a broad impact on the business.
- Understanding and use of various problem-solving methodologies, such as 8D, six sigma, etc.
- Willingness to learn and flexible in problem-solving approaches

Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and related field.
