Job Description

 Mechanical Engineer (Manufacturing). Responsibilities and Duties • Review scope of supply and system Bill of Materials (BOM) in coordination with the design team. • Experience of Tool room.  • Plan, design, and implement manufacturing processes for new and existing products. • Work closely with the Design Team Lead to assign resources and ensure DAP (Design Approval Process) readiness. • Study received BOMs and drawings from the design team to validate manufacturing feasibility and identify suitable vendors. • Provide manufacturing-related suggestions and feedback on design drawings to improve production outcomes. • Determine components for in-house manufacturing vs. outsourced jobs, and select appropriate vendors. • Maintain project tracking sheets by assigning project engineers or production team leads. • Coordinate and resolve any technical issues faced by vendors during manufacturing. • Approve deviations in quality, where required, in mutual agreement with Production Team Leads. • Review project progress, mechanical design/drawings, and production plans with team leads and engineers. • Participate in review meetings with management and other departments to discuss project-related issues. • Support the design team with part selection and design clarifications. • Assist the marketing team in part costing and preparation of cost estimations. • Collaborate with purchase and accounts teams to define payment schedules based on project priorities. • Handle escalations from internal teams and customers pertaining to the mechanical department. • Provide technical and material support to the I&C (Installation & Commissioning) team. • Allocate manpower for installation activities post-dispatch of equipment. • Estimate project costs based on RFQs and prepare detailed technical data sheets and costing BOMs. Mechanical Site Engineer. Responsibilities and Duties • Plan, schedule, and manage mechanical engineering projects. • Prepare cost estimates. • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including design, procurement, and production. • Supervise mechanical works on site including installation, fabrication, commissioning, and maintenance. • Read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications. • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of site activities. • Monitor progress and quality of work and ensure adherence to project timelines and safety standards. • Perform quality checks and inspections to ensure compliance with engineering standards. • Maintain daily reports, documentation, and material records. • Resolve any technical issues that arise on-site in coordination with senior engineers or consultants. • Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and materials at the site. • Should be ready to travel across India for installation work with a service team. Technical skills: -  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, CAD software (AutoCAD/SolidWorks/Creo), and project management tools. • Familiarity with mechanical codes and standards (e.g., ISO). • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
