Role Overview

The MDM Manager is a leadership role responsible for the development, guidance, and performance of the regional MDM team. The manager will ensure the delivery of high-quality, "Right-First-Time" Master Data across the region. This role focuses on driving operational efficiency, process standardization, and high-level service delivery through effective team management, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership and Management

• Develop and Guide the regional MDM Team, fostering a culture focused on Right-First-Time Master Data quality.
• Act as a People Leader, creating an environment for personal learning and development, driving high engagement, and maximizing team performance.
• Develop the talent pipeline within the MDM team.
• Identify key knowledge and data competence gaps within the team and support the process of closing these gaps through targeted training (e.g., Mars University, e-learnings, Supply Capability Trainings).

2. Service Delivery and Operations Management

• Monitor activities, manage capacities, and set priorities across various markets to ensure compliance with agreed-upon Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with business functions.
• Ensure close cooperation with Site Activity Expert Teams to deliver required Master Data creation for regional and market projects on time.
• Represent the MDM Team in Regional and Global forums and projects, serving as a key point of contact for MDM service delivery.

3. Data Governance and Process Improvement

• Drive further harmonization across different business segments in the Master Data area.
• Simplify data operations and streamline processes to bring organizational agility and speed.
• Challenge the status quo and, through internal and external collaboration and benchmarking, identify continuous improvement initiatives in the Master Data area, working closely with the Data Steward team and other stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for synergies and standard toolkit solutions, leveraging new technologies.
• Drive the implementation and standardization of processes, workflow tools, and systems in collaboration with other MDM Managers to deploy automated, error-free master data solutions along the E2E data value chain, aligned with the overall strategy.

4. Performance Monitoring and Reporting

• Identify improvement areas in terms of data quality and operational efficiency.
• Address identified areas through the establishment of defined targets and KPIs.
• Provide all relevant KPIs to effectively visualize MDM performance at both the Regional and Global level.

Required Qualifications and Competencies

• Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience, with significant time in Master Data Management (MDM) and a focus on operations management and team leadership.
• Leadership: Proven experience as a people manager, capable of developing teams and driving high performance in a complex, matrix organization.
• Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of MDM principles, data governance, data quality, and end-to-end data value chains.
• Process Expertise: Strong ability to analyze, harmonize, and streamline complex business processes, workflows, and systems.
• Communication: Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills to represent the team in regional and global forums.
• Strategic Mindset: Ability to identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and the deployment of high-level master data solutions leveraging new technologies.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹3,300,000.00 per year
