We are initiating the establishment of an additional team dedicated to the Future UserExperience (FUX) project, which serves as the application for client counters acrossGermany. This application is utilized by approximately 30,000 users daily and hasbeen operational for 20 years. The application undergoes functional enhancementswith 3-4 major releases each year. Currently, two development teams are engaged inthe continuous improvement of FUX, which is built on the C# programming languageand .NET technology. The user interface has been redesigned using MAUItechnology.In addition to these two teams, we have a third team, the mobile team, focused onmigrating the existing FUX desktop application to Android. Adjusting the foundational architecture to ensure compatibility with Androidmobile devices.Developing modules within the application to meet mobile-specific technicalrequirements (e.g., database integration, mobile printing, etc.).Creating a new UI/UX layer that enables the utilization of existing businessfunctionalities on mobile devices.The primary objective of this migration phase is to develop a unified software productthat predominantly relies on a common code base, ensuring functionality across bothmobile and desktop platforms.Requirements for the New TeamTo enhance the capabilities of our mobile team, we intend to establish a new teamcomprised of highly skilled professionals based in India. The main challenge for thisnew team will be to gain a comprehensive understanding of the existing application,including its business requirements and technical constraints, while ensuring themigration of the common code base remains compatible with the Windowsenvironment.Currently, we lack definitive architectural decisions, necessitating that designconsiderations be addressed during the development phase. Consequently, we areseeking a team that can analyze and articulate individual migration challenges anddevise technological solutions. Problem-solving skills and adaptability to newchallenges are critical success factors for our existing teams.The FUX application enables our partners to sell products and deliver services to endcustomers at client shops throughout Germany. To successfully develop a new mobileUI/UX layer, the team must quickly establish a thorough understanding of the existingbusiness processes.Team Composition and ExpectationsWe are requesting proposals for a team of 5-6 members. We do not require a teamleader for coordination; instead, we expect a technically proficient lead developer toguide the team in problem-solving efforts. The teams will engage in ongoingcommunication and collaboration with our existing team members, necessitatingexcellent communication skills and experience working in large international teams.Testing is not part of the team; we have our own team within the FUX project that isresponsible for test automation and manual testing. Requirements
- Experience: At least 8-10 years of experience in software development, with
proven experience in leading development teams.
- Technological knowledge:
- Extensive knowledge of C# and Android development.
- Experience with modern software architectures (e.g., microservices).
