Job Title: Manufacturing & Production Planning Department: Production / Planning Experience Required: 4–5 Years (Production Planning – Manufacturing Industry) Industry: Stainless Steel Sheet Metal Manufacturing Qualification: B.E / B.Tech – Mechanical or EEE Diploma – Mechanical or EEE Experience in OEM environment will be an added advantage Job Summary: The Planning Engineer will be responsible for creating, monitoring, and controlling production plans, coordinating with cross-functional teams, ensuring optimum utilization of resources, and meeting customer delivery timelines. The role requires strong analytical and planning skills, with prior experience in stainless steel sheet metal manufacturing preferred. Roles & Responsibilities Production Planning & Scheduling Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders and capacity. Schedule production activities to ensure timely delivery and effective workflow. Monitor WIP (Work In Progress) and update job status regularly. Material Planning Coordinate with the purchase and stores team for material availability. Prepare material requirement plans based on the production schedule. Track material shortages and follow up to avoid production delays. Coordination & Communication Coordinate with Production, Quality, Design, Purchase, and Dispatch teams for seamless execution. Provide daily updates on production status, deviations, and critical orders. Communicate delivery timelines to internal stakeholders. Monitoring & Control Track production output against planned schedules and highlight variances. Optimize resource utilization—machines, manpower, and tools. Identify bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions. Documentation & Reporting Maintain production reports, planning sheets, and process documentation. Prepare MIS reports for management review. Update ERP/MRP systems with real-time data. Quality & Process Adherence Ensure the production plan aligns with quality standards and customer specifications. Follow standard operating procedures and support process improvements. Key Skills Required Strong knowledge in production planning (Preferably Sheet Metal Manufacturing). Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP/Planning software. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and coordination abilities. Capability to work under timelines and prioritize tasks effectively. Additional Advantage Experience in OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) operations. Exposure to stainless steel sheet metal fabrication processes (Laser cutting, Bending, Welding, Finishing, Assembly, etc.).
