Role Overview

A Market Development Executive identifies and pursues new market opportunities to grow the company’s presence and revenue. They blend market research, strategy, and relationship-building to expand into new customer segments or territories.

  • Market Research & Analysis

Conduct in-depth market research to assess customer needs, trends, and competitors. Use these insights to shape go-to-market strategies.

  • Strategy Development & Execution

Develop and implement targeted plans for entering new markets or customer segments. Monitor performance and adjust tactics accordingly.

  • Lead Generation & Sales Support

  • Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, prospects, and clients. Serve as a trusted liaison with internal teams like product, sales, and service.

  • Performance Tracking & Reporting

Track KPIs like market penetration, revenue growth, and campaign ROI. Prepare and present monthly/quarterly performance reports.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration

Work with product, marketing, and sales teams to align on product launches, pricing strategies, and promotional initiatives.

  • Events & Partnerships

Identify and engage potential strategic partners. Represent the company at trade

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education

10th or 12th /diploma/graduation

  • Experience
  • fresher 0-1 years in market development, business development, or strategic sales. Proven track record in entering new markets or launching products.
  • Core Skills
  • Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Strong market research and planning acumen.
  • Communication & Negotiation: Effective relationship-building at all organizational levels.
  • Project Management: Ability to handle multiple initiatives and campaigns.
  • CRM & Tech Tools: Skilled in Salesforce/MS Office/MS Excel; familiarity with marketing analytics tools.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Industry-specific experience (tech, telecom, FMCG, B2C, etc.).
  • Familiarity with digital marketing, pricing strategy, or partner ecosystem management.

Success Metrics

  • Market expansion: number of new regions or segments entered.
  • Revenue contribution: deals closed, pipeline growth.
  • Campaign performance: lead-to-conversion rate, ROI, partner engagement.
  • CRM usage and accuracy in reporting.
